archktype the collaboration between Rina and these powerhouse producers (especially Clarence Clarity <3) is pure audio heaven. this is going to be a very important album for me, every track has me floored and crying Favorite track: Holy (Til You Let Me Go).

caiuslight When I first listened to Rina's debut LP I was absolutely floored at how a pop artist from the 2010s could still write pure artistic bangers with meaningful content. I became a fan instantly. What makes this album and Rina in general so appealing is what makes any artist great: the ability to express and open up their emotions and not be afraid to tell the listeners "Hey, I am just like you, we all feel this way". I find so much of Rina's music relatable it's like she can read my mind. Favorite track: Minor Feelings.

VenusAdonis Rina continues to evolve her unique sound and style on this with some insane bangers. Favorite track: To Be Alive.

maasqwitch I truly believe this is one of those albums where each song will be my favourite at some point. I don't care about critics saying this album is overproduced; Rina's songwriting holds up whether its instrumentals are acoustic or epic multi-layered pop. My favourite music is transcendent bangers with intimate and interesting themes, and this album totally totally delivers. There is not a single track to skip. (some other stand-out tracks: Holy (til you let me go); Send My Love to John) Favorite track: Hold The Girl.

about

Following on from her critically acclaimed debut “SAWAYAMA”, Rina Sawayama’s highly anticipated new record “Hold The Girl” sees Rina once again juxtapose intimate storytelling with arena-sized songs, creating another ambitious and original album to excite fans and critics alike.

Written and recorded over the last year and a half, Rina once again teamed up with longterm collaborators Clarence Clarity and Lauren Aquilina as well as enlisting help from the likes of the legendary Paul Epworth (Adele, Florence & the Machine), Stuart Price (Dua Lipa, The Killers, Madonna) and Marcus Andersson (Demi Lovato, Ashnikko) for their magic touch.

The product of Rina and these collective minds coming together is an album which melds influences from across the pop spectrum and is a bold and honest statement of Rina’s personal evolution; coming to terms with her own past and the jubilation of turning to the future.
